Gatorade Locker RoomI have been in the industry for more than 20 years and designing, building, and activating a Pop-Up Shop for one of my clients has always been one of my dreams. Why a Pop-Up Shop? Well, there are many reasons:

– A great way to create Buzz – PR and Social Media
– Cuts through the clutter
– Cool factor
– Great branding opportunity
– Sales Opportunity
– Education, awareness and activation

So, now you are saying… “Cathi, isn’t that what every experiential marketing program is about?” If we were having a conversation, I would agree with you. AND, it’s true we have all of those goals and aspirations in all of our programs. A Pop-Up Shop is just one of the true dreams on my experiential marketing “bucket list” list. So, who made this dream come true? It was Shurtech Brands, with their Duck® Brand Duct Tape!

It was an amazing experience, from brainstorming the idea, to development to building the Pop-Up Shop (a complete retail experience) in 5 days to the grand opening and seeing the looks on the faces of our clients as people stood in line to be the first to purchase their Duck Tape at this one-of-a-kind store in New York City’s Fashion District. Case Study here!

The Duck Brand Pop-Up Shop was huge success and will be one of those programs I’ll cherish. It was truly an “if you build it, they will come,” type of projects and this project exceeded our client’s expectations in Sales, PR, Social Media, and buzz, not to mention brand building.

So, what’s next on my experiential marketing dream “bucket list”?? Well, I think I’m ready to build-out a glass box truck for a mobile vehicle tour! So, who’s ready for their brand to make my dream come true and of course accomplish all of your marketing goals as well?!?!
